Petanque Potluck & Picnic…

28 May

Ten petanquers came out for the CPC’s 2011 Petanque Potluck
Picnic making it truly an “event royale”…why even the Kaiser himself was in attendance!

Ziggy’s “boule of death” finds its mark!!!

Like a shoal of piranhas skeletonizing a cow, CPC members
descend upon the smorgasbord of edibles which included jalapeno cornbread,
chips and guacamole, bean vinaigrette salad, salami, cheese, fruit, French bread, chocolate covered apples, pecan clusters, chips and the much hyped potato salad…

The CPC’s Secretary of the Treasury presents Ziggy with a rubber
check in support of his bid to become the National Petanque Champion at this
year’s tournament in California! Good Luck Ziggy…”the Terror ofTogo!”

I work for a supportive living facility and I was wondering if I could bring a group of our residents to some of the games.
Please contact me to let me know.

    Thank you,

    Pauline

      Hi Pauline,
It is always good to hear from people who are interested in the fun game of petanque.

You and your group are more than welcome to join us any Tuesday or Thursday at the Wheaton Leisure Center in Memorial Park or Saturdays in Forest Park. Let me know what day you are interested in playing and I’ll make sure we have a few extra treats waiting for your group.

Petanque is a great game to socialize, exercise, and create new friendships.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
      Dan

        Hi Dan,

Thanks for getting back to me. I think I’ll bring a group of about 10 people on Saturday, August 20th. The people I work with have various types of disabilities and they usually play sitting down (some of them are in wheel chairs and others use walkers). I hope that won’t be a problem.

        Thank you,

        Pauline
