Werner Visits from Germany

We had a guest player on Sunday. Werner Liebilt, who flew in from Germany yesterday and played with us today. Werner was presented with a club shirt and the ever-popular club beer stein. What could be more appropriate for a fellow petanque player from Deutschland. Beautiful weather for an excellent turnout of members.

Come celebrate Bastille Day on Chicago’s Daley Plaza in the heart of downtown. Monday evening, July 14th, 4 pm till 9 pm. ENTERTAINMENT, MUSIC, FOOD, WINE and PETANQUE in front of the PICASSO. FREE lessons and games. FUN for all.

June Petanque and Picnic

Sunday JUNE 15th. Games, potluck lunch, music, and the unveiling and dedication of the NEW Cliff Dufty memorial bench. We will celebrate the life of a friend and petanque mate. Bring a dish to share and a folding chair. Festivities start at noon at Memorial Park in Wheaton. Sunday, June 15th. Mark the date on your calendar for a fun afternoon of food, petanque and friendship.

Sunday, we had an excellent kickoff of the outdoor season. Nice turnout. Many wearing the club shirt. (Shirts are getting a little faded. New shirts in 2014) We had a club meeting to discuss the new season.

Downers Grove North Petanque Meet

It was a sunny, cool, day of sizzling pointing and blazing shooting in Downers Grove. The plentiful, tasty pastries and hot chocolate made it the perfect petanque day with the Downers Grove North French class. Fun time for all.
